A project honoring the voices of neighbors finding
gratitude in this challenging time
by Mary Rafferty
About
A very bright spot in a challenging year was collaborating on this portrait photo project honoring special moments in the lives of neighbors. Shot safely outside in the courtyard at the Marshall Field Garden Apartments, each participant enjoyed a private photo session with Chicago artist Mary Rafferty and then had an opportunity to share stories about how the pandemic and turmoil of 2020 was impacting them. A common theme that quickly surfaced was how they are finding gratitude.
