Join Us For The “My Street, My Voice, Our Story,” Art Project – June 4th

Hey Chicago! You are all cordially invited to the “My Street, My Voice, Our Story” art project on June 4th.

For the last two months, students from Manierre Elementary, Catherine Cook, and Franklin Fine Arts Center have worked with Art on Sedgwick resident artist Cecil McDonald Jr. in an interactive, multimedia art project with the aim of telling the story of Old Town.

Every life story has a setting. Join us to help celebrate the setting of our collective stories with art! “My Street, My Voice, Our Story” celebrates the diverse dreams and voices in our community — and is the culminating event of our collaborative art project led by Cecil that includes drawing, dance, embroidery, quilting, photography, storytelling, sound collage, and kites!

Please feel free to drop in anytime between 2 & 5 PM on Sunday, June 4th! There will be an artist program and performance at 3 PM as well as guided tours of the newly renovated Marshall Field Garden Apartments at 2 and 4 PM.

See you then!
